Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi, Nebraska, and Rhode Island. It’s important to understand you cannot “piggy back through another state” You must have gotten your initial license from one of 8 states above and have taken the full pre-license course in that state to qualify for mutual recognition.  For example: If you got your license through New York  and New York had reciprocity with Connecticut.  Because you didn’t actually get your initial license from Connecticut you would not qualify to obtain a mutual recognition real estate license from Florida.  (no “piggy backing through states”). If I am living out of state, how do I submit my fingerprints without having to travel to Florida? Go to the  FDLE Livescan Device Vendors List and choose a Livescan vendor that is certified as “hard card scanning capable”. These vendors have the ability to process fingerprints through additional methods, including the use of hard copy fingerprint cards. If the vendor requests that you provide a fingerprint card, you may call the Department of Business and Professional Regulation at 850.487.1395 to obtain one.
