If you have not renewed your real estate license and it’s not your first renewal your Florida real estate license will go into involuntary inactive status, (involuntary means not by your choice) you must cease all real estate services immediately while you are in “involuntary inactive status.”
Involuntary Inactive status is applied to licensees who have failed to complete the prior renewal cycle requirements for continuing education and/or fees and are in their last 24 months of licensing.
Renewal of an Involuntary Inactive license: If your license has been in “Involuntary Inactive” status for less than one year, the standard 14 hours of continuing education will apply. This education MUST be completed on or before the expiration date. If your license has an “Involuntary Inactive” status for more than one year, you are required to complete a 28 hours Reactivation Education Courseby midnight Eastern Standard Time (EST) (either March 31st or September 30th) to prevent the license from becoming “Null and Void” status.
Exemption:
A Florida Bar Member in active/good standing is exempt from the 28 hour Reactivation Education Course requirement only if we have been informed of their Bar Membership.
